Google has announced that it will introduce three new features to its Chrome web browser that use artificial intelligence (AI) to make browsing easier and more efficient. These features are Tab Organizer, Custom Themes and Help Me Write. They will be available for Chrome users on Macs and Windows PCs in the US over the next few days.
Tab Organizer
Tab Organizer is a feature that will help users manage their tabs without having to manually sort them. Chrome will automatically suggest and create groups of tabs based on their similarity. Users can access this feature by right-clicking on a tab and selecting “Organize Similar Tabs” from the menu. Chrome will also name and emoji these groups for easy identification.
Custom Themes
Custom Themes is a feature that will allow users to personalize their Chrome browser with AI-generated wallpapers. Users can choose a subject, mood, visual style and color, and Chrome will create a custom theme based on these options. Users can access this feature by clicking on the “Customize Chrome” side panel, then “Change theme” and then “Create with AI”.
Help Me Write
Help Me Write is a feature that will assist users in writing on the web with better language and confidence. Users can use this feature to fill out online forms, write emails or online reviews. Users can access this feature by right-clicking on a text box on any web page and selecting “Help me write”. Users will then have to enter a few keywords and Chrome will generate an automatic text response based on these keywords.
Google said that these features are experimental and will be disabled for enterprise and educational accounts for now. Google also said that it will add more AI and machine learning features to Chrome this year.
