The Mahatma Gandhi Central University organized a one-day workshop on the subject of ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ in blended mode at the Pandit Rajkumar Shukla Auditorium, Chanakya Parasir.
Main moto was to familiarize particioants with various dimensions of Intellectual property rights
The main objective of this workshop, organized under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Shrivastava, was to familiarize participants with the various dimensions of intellectual property rights. Prof. Shrivastava emphasized that everyone should be aware of the rights related to intellectual property to prevent misuse.
Chairing the event, Prof. Anand Prakash, Head of the Biotechnology Department, and the keynote speaker, Saurabh Trivedi, Founder of IP Solutions, addressed the gathering. Prof. Ranjeet Chaudhary, Dean of CS and ICT, and the Head of the Library and Information Science Department, welcomed the guests.
During the opening remarks, Prof. Anand Prakash highlighted the increasing cases of theft and violations related to intellectual property. He stressed the importance of raising awareness about intellectual property rights among people and implementing strict rules in this direction for its protection.

Speaking as the keynote speaker, Saurabh Trivedi stated that many countries worldwide have been making efforts for centuries to protect intellectual property rights by creating various laws. He discussed various forms of intellectual property rights legislation applied in India, including trademark, patent, and aspects of the Trade Secret Act.
Program coordinator Prof. Ranjeet Chaudhary highlighted the importance of understanding intellectual property rights for everyone. He emphasized that awareness of intellectual property laws could lead to success in this direction. Assistant Professor Dr. Madhu Patel introduced the keynote speaker, and Dr. Abhilasha Priyadarshini conducted the program. The event witnessed active participation from teachers, researchers, and students.
