Prof. Prasoon Datt Singh, the former Head of the Department of Sanskrit and Director of Gandhi Bhawan, has been appointed as the Chief Proctor in the reconstituted Proctorial Board. The board includes positions such as Chief Proctor, Deputy Proctor, and Assistant Proctor, with a total of nine members.
Rich Academic and Administrative Experience
Prof. Singh, previously the Head of the Sanskrit Department, has successfully served as the coordinator for Bharat Vidya Kendra and National Service Scheme at the university. With a deep understanding of academic and administrative dynamics, he holds the responsibility of chairing various committees and actively contributes to cultural, literary, and policy-related initiatives within the university.
Extensive Research Contributions and Academic Achievements
A prolific author and editor, Prof. Prasoon Datt Singh has published over 13 books and more than 60 research papers in national and international journals. He has guided three Ph.D. and two M.Phil. scholars under his research direction. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he is also the editor of the UGC-listed research journal ‘Drishtikon.’
