Speakers shed light on the role of Bhojpuri literature in freedom movement

Sanskar Bharti, Bihar in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, India has organized a grand seminar and Kavi Gosthi in the auditorium of MS College, Motihari. This Program organized on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, this program focused on the contribution of Bhojpuri speaking community in the freedom struggle.

The chief guest of the inaugural function was Dr. Neetu Kumar Nutan, a famous folk singer and member of the Central Board of Film Certification. The Program was chaired by Dr. Arun Kumar, Principal, MS College. Chief speaker Dr. Jaikant Singh ‘Jai’, social worker Rana Pratap ji, teacher Shyam Sundar and Dr. Vivek Mani Tripathi were addressed as special speakers. Seminar patron Dr. Parmatma Kumar Mishra welcomed the guests and Dr. Diwakar Rai presented the vote of thanks. Program was operated by preferred writer Dr. Vinay Kumar Singh.

In the presidential address, Arun Kumar said that Bhojpuri language is rich in building the social fabric. There is sweetness in this language. He said that here the memory of the freedom movement was linked with entertainment, discussion and all the household chores. Referring to the indigo movement in Champaran, he said that Mahatma Gandhi had understood the fragrance of the freedom struggle of Bhojpur region. Also underlined the contribution of Bhikhari Thakur, Mahendra Mishra and others.

Social worker Shri Rana Pratap ji said that the people of Bhojpuri region have done wonderful work in economic, social and political terms in getting freedom. He said that the people of Bhojpur had a wonderful spirit in the past and it is still there today. On the strength of this spirit, the British had to kneel continuously here. Calling upon to strengthen the system of the self, he said that it is necessary to strengthen the system of the self in order to establish the form of a world guru.

Soil of Bhojpur gave the first taste of the success of the freedom movement in the country – Jaikant Singh

The main speaker of the seminar, Dr. Jaikant Singh ‘Jai’ reminded the wonderful contribution of Bhojpuri society in the freedom struggle. He said that today’s young generation needs to be told about the contribution of Veer Kunwar Singh, a prominent name from Bhojpur in the first Indian freedom struggle of 1857, in sounding the bugle of freedom in the country. Referring to the contribution of Champaran Satyagraha and Pandit Rajkumar Shukla in the freedom movement, he said that the soil of Bhojpur gave the first taste of the success of the freedom movement in the country.

We should come forward to include Bhojpuri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution – Deputy Mayor

Deputy Mayor Dr. Lal Babu Prasad said that we all should come forward to include Bhojpuri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. Bhojpuri did not get its real status. The sweetness of this language needs to be enshrined in the constitution. Awareness is necessary to remove the obscenity in it.

The concept of nation is to protect the nature – Dr. Mishra

The second session of the seminar focused on the topic ‘Role of Bhojpuri literature in the freedom movement’. In which prominent speaker Dr. Braj Bhushan Mishra said that people say that the concept of nationalism originated from the French Revolution. But the Indian concept is different from that. Here the concept of nation is to protect the nature, human beings, animals and birds and social values, culture, language etc. within the periphery of the country. Throwing light on the history of nationalist literature, he said that Bhojpuri literature is very rich in this matter.

Speakers remembered and discussed the contribution of many known and unknown warriors

Senior journalist Chandra Bhushan Pandey said that this event is a historic opportunity which needs to be taken from the city to the village. Because the history of freedom movement cannot be complete without the contribution of Bhojpuria community. In the second session, senior journalist Sanjay Pandey, Bhojpuri poetess Asha Singh, researchers Rajesh Kumar Pandey, Kameshwar Prasad and others addressed. Speakers remembered and discussed the contribution of many known and unknown warriors.

At the end of the program, Kavi Goshthi was organized. Operation was done by Naveen Kumar Pandey. In which Satyendra Govind, Prashant Saurabh, Pandey Dharmendra Sharma, Gulrej Shahzad, Dr. Madhubala Sinha, Dhanushdhari Kushwaha, Kalimullah Kalim, Nakul Kumar, Asha Singh, Vibhakandhar Mishra, Shyam Shravan and others have recited poetry and focused on the contribution of Bhojpuria community in the freedom movement. Presented the song.

Many people including Jitendra Tripathi, Anand Prakash, Manu Shekhar, Neeraj Kumar, Alok Chandra (Advocate), Satyam Kartikeya Vats, Manas Kumar, Prashant Kumar, Akhileshwar Mishra Gulrej Shahzad, Abhimanyu Kumar, Nakul Kumar, Ravi Shankar Mishra were prominently present in the program. The exhibition put up by Aniket Raj and Ameesha was also inaugurated by the guests on the stage. Participation certificates were also given to the teachers, researchers, students and intellectuals who participated in the seminar.
