A workshop was organized by IQAC, Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) in association with Department of Industries, District Administration, East Champaran under the banner of ‘Start-up Policy Initiative’, Government of Bihar on 27th December, 2022.

Startup awareness program was organized at Pt. Rajkumar Shukla Auditorium, Chanakya Parisar. The program waschaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Anand Prakash. The Chief Guest was Mr. Suman Kumar, SDM, East Champaran. Prof. Pranveer Singh was the coordinator of the workshop.

In the presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Anand Prakash stresses the need to innovate, citing examples of ‘unicorns’ in the context of India and around the world. He appreciated the efforts of the Government of Bihar for providing seed-money to facilitate the process of innovation, skilling and job creation.

Chief Guest SDM, East Champaran Mr. Suman Kumar spoke exhaustively on the occasion regarding eligibility criteria, mode of application and other details. He said that from this scheme run by Bihar government. Employment will be created and many quality goods and services will be manufactured.

Workshop coordinator Prof. Pranaveer Singh Welcomed the guests, and threw light on the objectives of the workshop. He also motivated the participants for ‘Start-up’. He said that this scheme of Bihar government is going to provide very commendable and far-reaching results.

The program was conducted by Dr. Shridhar Satyakam, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Dr. Kundan Kishore Rajak welcomed the guest. The vote of thanks was done by Dr. Shashikant Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology. The teachers, officers, research scholars and students of the university were present in the programme.
