Sanskar Bharti, Bihar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, will organize a seminar and a poet’s seminar on July 29, 2023, in the auditorium of MS College, Motihari. On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, this program will focus on the contribution of Bhojpuri speaking region in the freedom struggle. To finalize the preparations for the event, a meeting of the organizing board was held at the Sangh office. The outline of the program was decided in the meeting and various works were also reviewed.

Dr. Mishra highlighted the objrctives of the programme

The patron of the seminar, Dr. Parmatma Kumar Mishra, highlighting the objectives of the seminar, told that Bhojpuri society has a wonderful contribution in the freedom struggle. In playing the bugle of freedom in the country, the prominent name from Bhojpur was Veer Kunwar Singh, the soldier and hero of the first Indian freedom struggle of 1857. The contribution of Champaran Satyagraha and Pandit Rajkumar Shukla in the freedom movement is memorable. In the seminar, the remembrance and contribution of many known and unknown warriors of Bhojpuri region, who played a major role in the freedom movement, will be discussed.

First session will focus on the topic ‘Role of Bhojpuria society in freedom movement’

Deputy Mayor of Motihari Municipal Corporation Dr. Lal Babu Prasad, a prominent member of the organizing board, said that after formally inaugurating the seminar, the first session will focus on the topic ‘Role of Bhojpuria society in freedom movement’ and the second session on ‘Freedom Movement in Bhojpuri literature’. There will be a poetry symposium in the third and last session. Famous folk singer Dr. Neetu Kumar Nutan will be the chief guest of the inaugural session. Presided over by Principal of Munshi Singh College, Prof. Arun Kumar will do. Dr. Jaikant Singh ‘Jai’, Head of Department of Bhojpuri Department of Langat Singh College, will be the main speaker. In the inaugural and second session, distinguished speakers will address, out of which Dr. Brij Bhushan Mishra, social worker Mr. Rana Pratap, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department Mr. Sunil Kumar Pathak and Associate Professor in Foreign Languages University of China. Dr. Vivek Mani Tripathi is the head.

Dr. Prasad told that after the second session, Kavi Goshti will be organized in which senior poets Satyendra Govind, Dr. Madhubala Sinha, Gulrej Shahzad, Dhanushdhari Kushwaha, Kalimullah Kalim, Dr. Harinder Himkar, Ravikesh Kumar, Nakul Kumar are invited. Participation certificates will also be given to teachers, researchers, students and intellectuals participating in the seminar.
