Freshers’ party ‘Kanishthotsav’ was organized for the students enrolled in the new session 2022-23 in the Department of Zoology in the Chanakya Parisar (Sanskriti Sankul) “Mahatma Gandhi Central University”. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. The cultural presentation by the newly enrolled postgraduate students enthralled everyone in the programme.

Addressing the Junior Festival, Professor Arttraan Pal, Dean of the Department of Zoology, wished the students a bright future and gave many tips to develop excellent work ability in life. Addressing the program, Head of the Department of Zoology cum Chief Proctor Professor Pranveer Singh said that any goal can be achieved through concentration and continuity in life. He also asked to pay attention to truth and cleanliness. Along with this, other professors of the department Dr. Preeti Bajpai, Dr. Shyam Babu Prasad, Dr. Kundan Kishore Rajak, Dr. Amit Ranjan, Dr. Budhi Prakash Jain wished the students a bright future. The program ended with the selection of Mr. and Miss Fresher. Prashant Kumar becomes the Mr. Fresher and Priyadarshini Mishra becomes Miss Fresher. All the first year, second year and PhD students of the Department of Zoology were present in the programme.
