MGCU, Health Center organized a Lecture on “AIDS: Problem and Solution”

April 12, 2023, under the joint auspices of Health Center established at Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari Bihar and National Service Scheme, a special lecture on “AIDS: Problem and Solution” was organized in Rajkumarshukla Sabhagar, Chanakya Parasir. Prof. Pavanesh Kumar was the coordinator of this program and Prof. Prasun Dutt Singh was the Coordinator of National Service Scheme (NSS). Dr. Mithilesh Kumar and Co-convenor of Health Center and Assistant Professor of Sanskrit Department, Dr. Bablu Pal were present as special speakers.

Mental illness is the cause of 70 percent of diseases in a person – Dr. Mithilesh

As a special speaker in the program, Dr. Mithilesh explained the way to avoid AIDS and said that a person is said to be healthy only when he is physically, spiritually and mentally healthy furthermore he said that mental illness is the cause of 70 percent of diseases in a person. He also shared his experience on the causes of AIDS. He said that by having unprotected sex, by transfusion of HIV infected blood, HIV of parents. By getting infected, their child and H.I.V. AIDS is caused by the use of an infected needle.

Positive behavior and awareness can prevent the spread of this infection – Prof. Pranaveer Singh

As a special guest, Prof. Pranaveer Singh of the Department of Biology also pointed out various diseases spreading rapidly in humans and also presented his opinion on the measures to prevent them. Professor Singh said that instead of malicious behavior to the infected people, positive behavior from them and awareness can prevent the spread of this infection.

Participants took pledge to increase awarness and measures to avoid AIDS diseases

In this programme, the memorandum of thanks to all the guests and listeners was done by the coordinator of the Health Center, Prof. Pavanesh Kumar. The successful operation of the program was done by Dr. Bablu Pal ji, Health Center. All the research scholars and students present in this program took a pledge to increase the awareness and measures to avoid AIDS disease, so that this infectious disease can be stopped. In this program, professors of various departments as well as 50 students of the university participated. More than 100 research scholars and students were present.
