In the early nineties, the then Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao opened the door of markets through liberalization to bail out the debt-ridden country, India became available as a market for the whole world and the pace of development had accelerated.
But when something goes ahead, a lot is left behind. In the 1990s, development progressed, but the society may have been left behind. The inflow of money to the people increased and the importance of relationships kept decreasing.
Amidst all these upheavals, there were some youths who had great importance of family, society and country in their hearts. Writer Anuranjan Jha has made this importance the central idea and has given the shape of a novel ‘Haqeeqat Nagar’ to the love stories of some youths of his time.
