Annual Award Ceremony in Memory of Bharatatma Shri Ashokji Singhal Recognizes Excellence in Vedic Education. Seventh Installment of Bharatatma Puraskar Series to Take Place at Shri Satya Sai Sabha Ghar, New Delhi.

In a momentous event on November 20, 2023, Shri Acharya Devvrat, the honorable Governor of Gujarat, is set to confer the esteemed ‘Bharatatma Ved Puraskar’ at the Shri Satya Sai Sabha Ghar, Lodhi Road, Pragati Vihar, New Delhi. This annual award, instituted in memory of Bharatatma Shri Ashokji Singhal, founder member of the World Hindu Council, aims to recognize outstanding contributions to Vedic education.

The Bharatatma Puraskar Distribution Ceremony

Scheduled to commence at 5:00 PM, the ceremony will witness the divine presence of Revered Swami Shri Govinddev Giriji Maharaj. This year marks the seventh edition of the Bharatatma Puraskar series, the highest national award presented annually in the Vedic field.

Categories and Prizes

The prestigious award is bestowed in three categories – outstanding Vedic scholars, exemplary Vedic teachers, and the best Vedic institutions. Each category winner receives a unique combination of a medal, monetary prize, and a certificate. The outstanding Vedic scholar receives three lakh rupees, the exemplary Vedic teacher five lakh rupees, and the best Vedic institution seven lakh rupees, along with certificates and memorials.

Selection Process

The selection process involves seeking recommendations and applications nationwide, which were then screened by a committee of Vedic experts. The final decision will be made by a senior committee on November 19, culminating in the awards presentation by the honorable Governor on November 20 in Gujarat.

VedArpit Samman

Additionally, the Singhal Foundation annually presents the ‘VedArpit Samman’ to a dedicated Vedic scholar who has contributed significantly to the preservation and promotion of Vedic knowledge. The recipient for 2023 will be announced during the award distribution ceremony on November 20.
