The judges selected Abhishek Kumar for the first place, Rashi Singh for second place, and Gaurav Kumar Golu and Shubhangi for the third position in the exhibition.
A Photography exhibition was organized by the students of BAJMC 2nd Sem, Department of Media Studies, Mahatma Gandhi Central University. The program was inaugurated by the heads of the Chemistry and Commerce departments, Prof. Rafiqul Islam & Prof. Shirish Mishra. The event was chaired by Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, HoD, Media Studies. The coordination of the exhibition was handled by Dr. Sunil Deepak Ghodake, Media Studies Department.
Prof. Rafiqul Islam, while inaugurating the exhibition, praised the unique initiative of the Media Studies Department. Highlighting the importance of photography in the context of journalism and communication, he emphasized that it would enhance the creativity and imagination of students, giving birth to new perspectives within them.
Special emphasis was given to the importance of ‘captions’ in photography during discussions with the students. Prof. Shirish Mishra, the head of the Commerce Department, praised the included images in the exhibition, enlightening the students about various opportunities in the field of photography at national and international levels.
Students introduced their creativity by capturing Nature and Popular Scenes
The exhibition included photographs compiled by the students of the second semester of BAJMC. The students introduced their creativity by capturing nature, the environment, and popular and scenic places of Motihari through their cameras.
Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, Head of the Media Studies Department, guided the students on this occasion, emphasizing the need to focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of photography for the media students. He stressed that this would assist them in being trained in the technical aspects aligned with mainstream media. The program witnessed the presence of Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, Head of the Media Studies Department, Dr. Paramatma Kumar Mishra, Assistant Professor of the Department, Dr. Saket Raman, Dr. Sunil Deepak Ghodake, and Dr. Uma Yadav, along with research scholars and students of the department.
