On February 6, 2023. The program “My voice is the identity” Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar” was organized under the guidance of Faculty of Humanities and Languages, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar.

The program organized on the first death anniversary of melodious singer Lata Mangeshkar under the chairmanship of Prof. Prasoon Dutt Singh, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Languages. In which the chief guest of the program Pranveer Singh Head of Biology department, and Prof. Sunil Mahawar, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar, they remembered the music journey of great singer Lata Mangeshkar. On this remembrance, Dr. Anjani Srivastava, Head, Department of Hindi, Dr. Bimlesh Kumar, Head, Department of English, Dr. Garima Tiwari, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Govind Prasad Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, Dr. Vishwesh Wagmi, Dr. Bishwajit Burman, Professor, Department of Sanskrit were also present.

Music has no language – Prof. Prasundatt Singh

In the presidential address, Prof. Prasundatt Singh said that music has no language, Lata ji is the ideal of success, her discipline towards life makes her very special. Her songs are also dedicated to everyone’s songs. As the chief guest, Prof.Pranveer Singh said that the day we stop learning, our end begins. Honesty towards work is the biggest feature of Lata ji’s life. She is an open book and an unsolved puzzle for me. Distinguished Prof. Sunil Mahawar said that Lata ji’s vision of life is positive. She was the epitome of motherhood. Lata ji has fought for the remuneration of female actors in Hindi cinema. Her songs represent all sections of the society.
