On the occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day, a National webinar was organized by the Department of Educational Studies, Mahatma Gandhi Central University on the topic Technical Vocational Education and Training: India towards Entrepreneurship. The program was commenced with Saraswati bandana. After that the program formally started with the guest introduction and welcome speech by Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Head of the Department.

Professor Ashish Srivastava, Dean of the Faculty of Education said that the concept and structure of entrepreneurship is based on the ancient knowledge tradition of India, whose roots are deeply rooted in the soil of India. The National Education Policy 2020 has come with the intention of a comprehensive and big change for entrepreneurship. He further says that if any country has to stand in the front line, then to bring such changes, I am happy that the National Education Policy 2020 will help in the country’s economy with knowledge, creativity, innovation from elementary education to higher education.

Higher education institutions should come forward for innovations and research – Keynote Speaker

Emphasizing on In the sequel of the program, a lecture was given by Suprabha Dey, research student of the department, highlighted the fact that how entrepreneurial mindset can be promoted through Tagore’s education. Program’s keynote speaker Professor Rajesh P. (National Council for Technical Teacher Instructor and Research, Bhopal, NITTTR, Fool Bright Scholarship 2014) highlighted in his lecture how education, economy, employment, employability, and entrepreneurship are intertwined. Further he says that higher education institutions should come forward for innovations and research, in which he highlighted four points Start up Incubation Center, Technology Development Center, Center in Frontier Area of ​​Research, Interdisciplinary Research Center.

A Special quiz session was organized by the participants

In the next episode of the program, a quiz session was organized in which the questions asked by the participants were answered by the keynote speaker. After that the first newsletter of the Department of Educational Studies was displayed by the keynote speaker Acharya Rajesh P.K., which was conducted by Dr. Pathloth Omkar. At the end of the program, the vote of thanks was given by the Assistant Professor of the department, Dr. Manisha Rani.
