77th Independence Day Celebrated in MGCU with eye-catchy colorful cultural programs

On the occasion of 77th Independence, a grand program was organized at Mahatma Gandhi Central University on August 15. In which there was a feeling of expressing the country’s rich cultural heritage and national spirit. The program was organized at Gandhi Bhawan, Bankat, the main campus of the university. The inauguration was done by the Vice-Chancellor by garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

Independence Day is a day to remember the loyalty, sacrifice and pledge of great freedom fighters-Prof. Sanjay Srivastava

Addressing the program Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Srivastava congratulated all the teachers, officers, employees and students on Independence Day. He said that today is a day of pride, celebration and joy. Referring to the great freedom fighters’ loyalty and their sacrificial vows, he said that we should understand their greatness and take inspiration from their contribution to fulfill the demand for freedom through Satyagraha. He stressed the importance of university development and also the importance of adapting to new education policies. Emphasizing the need to implement the new education policy, he said that with this the university will be able to move forward with the best standards of modern education to its students. He mentioned new education policies along with innovative technologies, UPI payment methods, India’s successful Mangalyaan mission and management in the Covid Era.

From inspirational speech to presentation of cultural programme touches the soul

The August 15 event at the Mahatma Gandhi Central University was the venue for various activities showcasing the diversity of Indian history, culture and achievements. Dr. Manisha Rani, who is conducting the program, remembered the freedom fighters, emphasized on awakening the feeling of patriotism among the students of the university. From the inspirational speeches of the Vice Chancellor to the presentations of cultural programs that touched the soul, dance, drama, singing and poetry recitation won everyone’s heart.

Cultural Programme Captivated Everyone’s Heart

The cultural program commenced with Ganesh Vandana by Sumedha, English Department. Along with this, Priyam, a student of the Department of Commerce, easily expressed the national sentiment through the heroic song “Hey Preet Jahan Ki Reet Sada” and captivated everyone’s heart. The song “Aaye mere watan ke logo” was performed by Pooja, Ashish, a student of Media Department and Priyadarshini of MSc Department. B.Tech student Ayush enthralled everyone with his dance performance on the vocals of the song “Teri Mitti”. Lalan, a student of Hindi Department and Ashish, Anupam, Pooja and Rajnandani, students of Media Department expressed the unity and harmony of the country in the voices of the song “Batohiya”. The struggle of the Indian freedom struggle was brought alive through a short skit titled “Azadi ka Suraj” an important presentation of cultural programmes. The cultural program was coordinated by Dr. Shweta, coordinator, Cultural Committee. Cultural committee members Dr. Manisha Rani, Dr. Parmatma Kumar Mishra, Dr. Anupam Verma also played an important role.

Brave Warriors were hohoured in the program

Fortehrmore, the brave warrior soldiers were honored by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor by giving mementos and angavastram to the brave soldiers for their unique courage and service. In which prominently the father of Amar Shaheed Arbind Kumar Pandey, (who sacrificed his life in 1999 after killing 28 terrorists during the Kargil war), Mr. Ishwar Chandra Pandey, and others were present. This program was organized by PR Cell and coordinated by Pavanesh Kumar, Dr. Anjani Kumar Srivastava, Dr. Parmatma Kumar Mishra, Dr. Saket Raman, PRO Shefalika Mishra.

Teachers, Officers, Research Scholars, Students and Staff were present

At the end of the programme, the vote of thanks was given by Prof. by Prasoon Dutt Singh. He expressed his gratitude to all the teachers, officers, research scholars, students and employees of the university family. University’s DSW Prof. in the program. Aatraran Pal, Chief Controller Prof. Pranveer Singh, OSD Administration Dr. Sachidanand Singh, DDU Campus Director Prof. Pavanesh Kumar, OSD Finance Prof. Vikas Pareek, Controller of Examinations Prof. Krishna Kant Upadhyay, Dean, Head of Department, teachers, officers, research scholars, students and staff were present.
